COMPUTER expert at Uganda’s leading daily - The New Vision, Robert Kiwendo (right) was elected new Uganda Cycling Association (UCA) chairman in polls held at Lugogo Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

Kiwendo is to be deputised by Richard Seninde, a former competition secretary to guide UCA for the next two years.

The assembly that lasted three hours saw Kiwendo beat Bruhane Sekibenga with 20-5 votes.
Thirteen clubs sent delegates to the assembly presided over by Timothy Semakula of NCS.

Former boss, Lawrence Byaruhanga declined re-election. Former chairman Sam Muwonge Mahaba was an observer.
The post of welfare secretary was hotly contested. Godfrey Kalema edged Cranes’ fans cheer leader Jackson Sewanyana 12-11.
