GIDEON Badagawa, the Private Sector Foundation senior policy analyst, has said in future, large firms, especially international ones would be required to sub-contract with local small and medium enterprises before being awarded tenders.
Badagawa said in most cases, small firms lose out on local bids especially in the construction industry, because of insufficient capital and sub-standard work.
“Small firms need to work with large firms to get experience,” he said.
