JEFF Miiro, eyeing double success, returns to action in the ‘Who’s The King’ pilsner pool challenge whose team event starts this weekend.

JEFF Miiro, eyeing double success, returns to action in the ‘Who’s The King’ pilsner pool challenge whose team event starts this weekend.
The event, coming after three weeks of the singles matches, is due in Capital Pub, Kabalagala.
Miiro is through to the singles final and is pitted against Meddie Kazibwe on March 13. The team finals will also be held the same day.
Skilled player Miiro is expected to play a leading role for Capital Pub in the team event.
Kazibwe is back for Holiday Hotel in the event that will attract 22 other teams. The same teams provided players for the singles.
Miiro beat Steven Ssentongo 11-7 while Kazibwe ejected Rogers Mulindwa 11-10 to reach the final.
Other teams set for the weekend show include California Bar, G4 Pub, Yakobo Joint, Capital Pub, Sliders.
Vanessa’s Pub, Holiday Hotel, Sax Hotel, The Plaza, Club Paradise, Umoja Club, Nanziri Canteen, Wills Cafe, Rock Catarina, Pool Joint, Skylark, Park View, Eden Park, Deep Blue, Club House, Kado Pado will also be presenting players.
The Pool Association of Uganda organised event will be held on knock-out basis.
The two events are sponsored by Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) under its pilsner laber brand.
The sponsors are planning to transform the competition into a national show.
