KENYA's electricity grid will be connected to the
South African power pool after May this year, energy minister, Ochilo Ayacko disclosed last week.

He said the deal will give Kenya access to 400MW from the South African countries in two phases.
Ayacko was speaking on arrival from the just concluded tripartite energy ministers meeting held in Lusaka. The project will cost about Ksh45b.
