KABIRA Country Club is set to host its first tennis tournament. The two day tournament is sponsored by Kampala Casino and will include men’s, women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles. Although the tournament is a closed one, members from Kampala club, Lugogo tennis club and the American recreational club will compete.

UGANDA Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) has named a squad of 18 pugilists to be groomed for all their 2004 national and international engagements. The list does not include any of the Bombers camped in Hima, Kasese district in preparation for Olympic qualifiers.

THREE Kenyan boxers are preparing for a test of nerves and skills against their Ugandan counterparts in professional bouts to be held at Nyayo National Stadium on April 10. The bouts, whose promoter is former international Caleb Kuya, will have David ''Computer'' Kiilu face Micheal Kiiza in the main fight that will be a featherweight clash.
