NATIONAL coach Tom Tikolo returned in the country yesterday after a one-week break in Kenya. Tikolo started his duties immediately by taking the national senior team through gym sessions at the BMK health club ahead of the inter-continental championship next month. Tikolo was coach of the U-19 team that played at the youth World Cup.

THE management of Mbale Heroes Football Club has made appeals to well wishers for financial support. In an interview with The New Vision Monday, club vice chairman Steven Namonyo said some of the players in the team are still demanding for their sign on fees.

Lifters travel
THE national weightlifting team left yesterday for Dar es Salaam for the third East African Weightlifting Championship slated for this weekend. Nine men and four women travelled by road ready to defend the regional title they won in Namboole last year. Coach Ali Kavuma is optimistic about the team saying all the lifters had been properly tuned.
