Bukedde has been awarded a certificate for supporting Mengo to generate income for Buganda Kingdom.
Handing over the prizes on Friday, the Katikkiro, Joseph Ssemwogerere, said lack of sufficient funds hindered and crippled activities of the kingdom.
Ssemwogerere gave out bicycles, certificates and mementos to various clans, counties, organisations and individuals who have helped Buganda raise over sh347m from the sale of certificates.
He said the Kabaka would be able to sustain his people if Buganda was granted a federal status.
Ssemwogerere also launched Gakuweebwamunno, a development guide book.
He thanked all those who had contributed to the kingdom.
Buganda finance minister J. B. Walusimbi said 6,000 people had bought certificates since the project was launched in 2000.
Mamba emerged the best clan. Ngabi came second.
Kyaddondo county posted the best performance, followed by Buddu.
Ugandans in the diaspora were also recognised for their contribution.
School children sang a song decrying selfishness and encouraged generosity. Mukiibi and the Theatricals drama group handed over sh5m to the Katikkiro.
