WORLD Vision has launched a water and sanitation project to provide safe water to Arua district, reports Ahmed Angulibo.
While officiating at the launch of the project recently, the LC5 chairman, Richard Andama Ferua, urged residents to provide security to investors in the district.
The $200,000 (about sh386m) project will pump piped water from Oraa River to 1,252 households in Madi-Okollo county, drill boreholes in five parishes and install 10,000-litre water tanks in five schools.
It will also construct three health units, three protected wells and carry out hygiene and sanitation education in the community.
