Archbishop Henry Luke Orombi has urged the people of West Nile to welcome people from surrounding conflict areas like Gulu.
“When you look at this region, it has enjoyed relative peace though it has for long been sandwiched by conflict areas. We have a responsibility to our neighbours whom we should give sanctuary,” he said.
Orombi was recently commissioning a library and a four-classroom block at Aluka Secondary School in Nebbi district.
The school was constructed at a sh90m donation from DANIDA and Ambassadors of Hope under the Church of Uganda.
Orombi said the church would support five secondary schools in the district and pay salary for teachers of Ogenda Secondary School for five years.
