The chairman of the East African Community joint trade committees, Yonasani Kanyomozi, on Saturday said member countries will not hold individual trade negotiations with economic bodies, reports Reuben Olita.

Addressing the press in Mombasa after a meeting on future trade relations, Kanyomozi said the East African Legislative assembly intended to pass a bill to ensure that any future trade negotiations were handled together.

He said the move would enhance the community’s effectiveness and bargaining power in the on-going economic partnership agreements.
