IT was a busy weekend on the entertainment scene, which ushered in another set of beauty queens.

Barely a month after Makerere University crowned its most beautiful girl, counterparts Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and tycoon Hassan Basajjabalaba’s Kampala International University (KIU), joined the fray crowning their beauties and hunks.

At Kibuli Secondary School in the suburbs of Kampala, the Wild Life Clubs of Uganda also held their annual Miss Wildlife pageant, at a function that attracted more than 10 secondary schools.

Kampala revellers had trouble choosing between the pageants which kicked off at the same time.
They were also only separated by a few hundred metres with MUBS holding theirs at Nile Hotel International Conference Centre and KIU at Hotel Africana.

At the International Conference Centre, 19-year-old Fiona Nakanwagi, a first year bachelor of business computing student, beat 16 contestants to win the coveted 2004/5 crown.

The KIU contest, which featured both the male and female students had Caroline Wanza emerging as winner and Steve Muhangi, whose well-chiselled body drove the ladies into a wild frenzy, emerged Mr. KIU 2004/5.

Miss Wildlife Addy Kibuuka, is a student of Vienna College in Namugongo.
