Suspect held
KAMPALA — The City hall Court has remanded a 19- year-old man in Luzira prison for defiling a 14-year-old. Ronald Muyinya, of Kawempe denied the charge. State prosecutor Deo Okodel alleged that Muyinya committed the offence on March 7, 2004. The case was adjourned to April 8.

Man in coma
KAYUNGA — The Police are holding a woman who allegedly hacked her husband into a coma for denying her sex for over two months. Derina Awori of Ntimba village reportedly accused Hajji Haruna Lukeeti, a traditional healer, of adultery. She hacked him with a panga saying he was useless. LC4 chairman Godfrey Kitasimbwa recently said the victim had gone home late.

Sh3m forgery
KAMPALA — A man has been charged with forgery and obtaining over sh3m by false pretence. Godfrey Mpaulo, an accountant with Network of Ugandan Researchers and Research Users, recently denied the charges and was released on bail. He allegedly committed the offences on March 3, at Standard Chartered Bank.
