KAMPALA Mayor John Ssebaana Kizito is in court over a six-storey building in the city.
The complainants went to the Court of Appeal after losing the case in the High Court.
The Kampala Land Board (KLB) has been sued alongside Ssebaana.

The complainants, Asian businessmen, accuse KLB of giving away their building on plot 59, Martin Road, to Ssebaana.
Dayalji Gajjat, Dattylal Gajjer, Daylal Gajjer and Manral Gajjar, said KLB gave their building to Ssebaana in 2002 without giving them a hearing.
They were accused of failing to repair the building and renew their lease when it elapsed in 2001.
They, however, said they could not have repaired the building while it was still occupied by soldiers.

They also accused KLB of frustrating their efforts to renew the lease.
Ssebaana said KLB granted his application for a lease on the property after the complainants’ lease expired.
KLB denied allegations of bias, saying when the lease expired, the property reverted to it.

The board said it was not under obligation to afford them a hearing before taking away the building.
