A Yamaha XTZ 125 off road motorcycle will be up for grabs at the Yamaha TTC/Crane Engravers Motor cross championship in Lubiri on Easter Sunday. Lonrho Uganda offered the motorcycle that will be won by a spectator at the motor cycle race that will be held alongside the Royal Birthday sprint to celebrate Ronald Mutebi’s 49th birthday.

UGANDA is scheduled start her campaign for their maiden Africa Women Football Championship from the preliminary round, with an away match to Malawi on May 28. But FUFA secretary Haruna Mawanda said the country might pull out because of financial hardships.

MUK season
TITLE holders in the various sports disciplines at Makerere University are hoping to retain their crowns as the MUK Inter-hall games enter the second week. Makerere sports tutor Peninah Kabenge said: “All ten halls are expected to bring forward teams of certified residents to participate in the various games so as to earn maximum points.”

Kyoga wins
KYOGA County emerged overall winner of the Lira district primary schools athletics meet held at Akii Bua Stadium. Kyoga gathered 405 points from the two-day event, which ended on April 6. The championship drew eight teams from the district. Dokolo County took second position after collecting 340 points.
