The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company will this year start publishing an English version of Bukedde.

Bukedde, a Luganda daily, is The New Vision’s sister paper.

During a seminar for New Vision agents at Hotel Africana on Friday, the Editor in Chief, William Pike, said the content would be the same only that it would be in English.

“It will be a very exciting product for our readers. It should come out before July 1,” he said.

Pike said it would be enjoyable for people in places like Mbale, Mbarara and northern Uganda, who would be able to read stories run in the Luganda version.

He said the company would introduce various magazines over the next one year.

“One will be coming out very soon. There are many other ideas in the pipeline,” Pike said.

He hailed the agents saying The New Vision would be non-existent without them.

The circulation manager, Tom Wasswa, asked agents to guide vendors on customer care and relations to increase sales.

“Tell them to greet clients and thank them when they get the money. It is these little things that attract more readers,” he said.
