IVAN Sentongo and Kevin Mafabi beat their rivals as leaders Sekanyolya won their fifth straight Super Nine table tennis league match on Sunday.
Sentongo outwitted Photogenix’s Edward Kiwanuka 3-1 and Ronnie Andira 3-0 to set the leaders on course to a crucial victory at Nakasero Primary school.
Mafabi consolidated the team’s run with 3-2 wins against Kiwanuka and Andira 3-2. He then beat Jackson Migadde 3-1.
Migadde and Kiwanuka suffered more misery after a 3-0 defeat against Sentongo and Mafabi in the doubles.
But Andira beat Sekanyolya’s Blasio Lutaya 3-1 to salvage some pride for his side.
Sekanyolya lead with 15 points from five matches, one point more than Centenary Bank who humiliated Sharing 10-0.
Team X beat Matia Mulumba by the same margin to get their maiden league win. Makerere University will wait a little longer for their first win after the 9-1 defeat against Bag World.
