THE hilarious and dramatic search ended. Uganda’s three Coca Cola Popstars were found well over five weeks ago.

They have even already recorded an album and the videos are currently being shot in Johannesburg, South Africa. But the mystery continues! Who are Uganda’s three Coca-Cola popstars?

Those in the know, Christine Mawadri, a Coca Cola Popstar judge, and Steve Jean, the producer and songwriter for the Coca-Cola Popstars group, are on the hush-hush about their identity.

“I am not at liberty to say who they are,” he declared, “They (Coca Cola Popstars team from South Africa) will kill me if I did.” he declared.

Nonetheless, he revealed that it is a blistering youthful trio of dynamic Popstars who are ready to explode, in style, onto Uganda’s pop-culture scene.

“The group is going to be hot,” he said, “The judges did a good job because they can all sing and dance very well. You can be sure there isn’t going to be a disappointment.”

Keith Lindsay, the executive producer of the currently running 10-week dramatic TV search series of East Africa’s popstars on WBS said.

“We really achieved our goal of finding a group that represents the pop-culture of Uganda.”

According to Steve, the producer and songwriter for the popstars’ album, the album which comprises a mixture of English and local languages, is something of a high quality. Steve, who on Tuesday flew back to South Africa to rejoin the group, explained that he was just going back to do the remix of the songs. He promised that we should “expect hits that will sell here.”

While the nation waits in anticipation for their sellable hits, we have an opportunity to passionately follow the hilarious and heartbreaking search for these three popstars on WBS TV every Sunday at 7:00pm.

The screening of Coca Cola Popstars search in East Africa made its premier on Sunday April 11. So far, the 10-part series due to end on June 13, is taking the audience on a comic and “magical journey in the regional search for a trio of multi-talented music stars to form three pop groups from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.”

The fabulous reality talent search show is laden with entertainment, music, laughter and tears.

The group, scheduled to arrive in the country on June 6, is to stay in South Africa for seven weeks and thereafter embark on a countrywide tour on arrival.
