Traffic Police should always be at Spear Motors junction

SIR — I am grateful to the traffic Police for manning the Spear Motors-Ntinda junction at Nakawa. The traffic lights broke down months ago and when there are are no policemen chaos reigns. Drivers simply have no courtesy at all and several times this has resulted in accidents. If the traffic lights can’t be restored, it would be a great service not only to motorists but also to pedestrians if the spot was permanently manned by the Police.
At least one does not have to drive with his heart in his mouth. all such trouble spots in kampala need to be handled like that. .
