Lwakataka aims to stay at the top

HAVING finished third in the previous two events, youthful driver Ponsiano Lwakataka is enjoying life at the top and intends to stick there.

HAVING finished third in the previous two events, youthful driver Ponsiano Lwakataka is enjoying life at the top and intends to stick there.

Lwakataka,31, yesterday entered this weekend’s Alpha Mbarara rally and vowed to fight for at least third place.

“It (third place) is my position and it will be hard to remove me from there. Even with Dipu (Ruparelia) and Ismail Lule back in action, I believe I deserve it and I will work hard for it,” Lwakataka said.

The Kyotera based driver has been sponsored by Castrol Uganda,WBS TV, Uganda Marines, Byansi Roofings and Kilimanjaro Ice to compete in the 400-km rally.
Alpha Dairy Products has sponsored the rally that is organised by UMOSPOC.
