A hip-hop release by Ugandan music group Sober Royals will on Saturday spice up Arsenal-Uganda supporters club celebrations in Kampala.
The song titled “Arsenal are the Champs†will, according to its composer Isaac Teko, be released on Kampala’s airwaves tomorrow. Teko is also the brain behind a morale-boosting song dedicated to Uganda’s national boxing team — the Bombers’ Athens Olympics campaign.
Sober Royals had earlier also released a hit in recognition of sports philanthropist Michael Ezra’s efforts at sports promotion. Arsenal fans will march from the City Square to Club Silk where they will have a grand party.
Arsenal Uganda Fans Club chairman Dennis Mbidde has welcomed the idea of a song. Also on show will be performances by artists Bebe Cool and Emperor Orlando.
The Club Silk bash will climax in presentation of a dummy trophy which will coincide with presentation of the Premiership silverware to the Gunners at Highbury.
