SIR— Our children are doing poorly due to the type of knowledge they obtain from private schools in Kampala. “St Francis” near Mariandina Clinic in Kamwokya has a signpost saying “‘<b>Regestration’</b> in Progress for both A-level and O-level”.

SIR— Our children are doing poorly due to the type of knowledge they obtain from private schools in Kampala. “St Francis” near Mariandina Clinic in Kamwokya has a signpost saying “‘Regestration’ in Progress for both A-level and O-level”.

How can the one who wrote such a word and was satisfied that it was correct English make students pass English with a distinction?
