WAKISO — The Archbishop of Kampala, Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala, has asked Christians not to lose sense of family values. Presiding over a mass at St. Jude’s Parish recently, Wamala emphasized the need for family stability to enhance peace in communities. “Children need to grow in a healthy environment in order to be good citizens,” he said.

Acid attacks
KIBOGA — The chairman for Lubaga division, Justine Sendikadiwa, has decried the increased numbers of acid attacks in his division, saying there was need to punish the culprits. Speaking to residents at Kiboga Guest House recently, Sendikadiwa demanded that Parliament enact a law against acid attacks to reduce on such cases.

Busia trains
BUSIA — Twenty community service supervisors from Busia North constituency have undergone a two-day training workshop on how to deal with offenders while carrying out community service. The training, which was sponsored by the National Community Service Committee Secretariat Kampala, was opened by LC5 chairman Wanyama Oundo.

Police hunt
KAYUNGA — The Police are looking for a man who allegedly murdered his wife last Thursday night. CID officer Cox Apamako said Peter Machuni of Kyatto village allegedly cut his wife, Janet Ayisu, on the forehead with a panga.
