By Ronnie Kintu HELEN Buteme has been retained as captain of the Uganda women’s rugby team to the Safari international sevens tournament on June 19 in Nairobi. Uganda Rugby Football Union named a 12-women squad to play in the annual tournament that will, for the first time attract women teams from different countries in the region. The Uganda Thunderbirds have turned a formidable force in the region after their successful performance in the recent Kisumu sevens. The team is coached by former international Jim Park and have also benefited from training by touring English coaches.
