Kefa Mulondo decides to take his children to a new school.

The story continues:

"I don't mind leaving my school. I have learnt nothing this year." Muko sneered.

"You're right," his mother sighed. "You came last again. We shall change you and Samsoni but Nalu should stay."

Muko punched the air. Samsoni stuck his tongue out.

"But I like my school. I don't want another one!" Samsoni wailed.
"Don't be silly boy" his father scolded.

"Abundant Joy Primary School has many things your school doesn't have," said Mulondo.

"Like what?" Samsoni pouted.
"A school library, a science laboratory, a football pitch, computers," Mulondo counted out the things on his fingers.
"Computers!" his wife exclaimed. "That would make it the best school in Kauka! What's the school uniform like?"

"It's very good," Mulondo beamed. "The girls wear pink, green and purple dresses and the boys wear pink shorts and purple shirts with yellow collars."
"They must look like clowns," Nalu laughed.

"It's better than looking like an ostrich head," Muko retorted.
"I wouldn't make fun of a school with computers if I were you," Mulondo warned his daughter. "Your brothers start tomorrow and in no time they will be ahead of you."

"Tomorrow?" the boys shouted.
"The school must have a list of things we need to buy!" said their mother.

"The headmistress said, as long as they have beddings, I could bring the other things later," he said.
Samsoni's big round eyes stared at his mother.

"I have never been to boarding school before" he whispered.
"There is a first time for everything son, leaving home is the sign of a man!" Mulondo laughed.
The next morning Mr. Mulondo took his boys to school.

"I thought you were bringing three," the head-mistress' craned her neck forward as she scrutinised the new pupils on the other side of her large desk. Her spectacles were perched on the end of her hooked nose.
"We decided not to move their sister," Mulondo explained.
"Pity, I prefer girls," the headmistress smirked.

"SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR FATHER BOYS!" she suddenly shouted and made all the Mulondos jump.

Muko shook his father's hand and when Samsoni stepped forward he locked his arms around Mulondo's waist.

"Daddy please doesn't leave me here!" he cried.
