UGANDA made a false start as Botswana stole the show with two wins in day one of the King’s Cup boxing championship at Lugogo yesterday.
Featherweight Henry Kyagaba, however, produced a classy performance for the Ugandan champions-the Bombers as he rocked Tanzania’s Petro Mutagwa.
Kyagaba trimmed the Tanzanian down to size with target punches to win 3-0.
Olympic-bound Luza ‘Master’ Lechonzale gave Botswana a formidable start by outclassing Uganda’s Gerald Aliga (Tigers) to win 3-0.

r KAMPALA Citizen College School won the national schools boxing championship on Sunday with 42 points.
The champions who shared the title with Kampala High last season, edged Mycolex Institute with a point.
Concerted College came third with 23 points, a point ahead of former champions Kampala High and Rosa SS.
“This is just the beginning of our dominance,” said coach Mudde Kajoba.
