THE Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Mutebi has sent a message of condolence to the family of the late Sir William Wilberforce Napiode.

A statement signed by the Katikkiro reads, “Kabaka Mutebi, who is abroad, has received the sad news of the passing away of his great aunt Lady Julian Babirye, wid-ow of the late Sir Nadiope and extends his condolences to the family.”

Body found
THE Police on Monday recovered a decomposing body of a woman suspected to have committed suicide from a bush in Wakiso district.
They said yesterday that Roman Bada, 30, who was married to Deo Nsamba, reportedly went missing on Friday night after a fight with her husband.

Vanilla tax
Mukono LC5 chairman Godfrey Ddamulira Kyeyune has defended the district’s decision to tax vanilla, saying the council needed to repair roads, which are in a very bad state, to improve transportation of their product.
He said this at a press conference yesterday.

RDC warns
Kiboga resident district commissioner Margaret Kasaija has warned micro finance institutions against charging high interest rates.
