BUGIRI district councillors on Tuesday walked out of a probe committee session called to discuss the fate of the deputy chief administrative officer, Juma Nyende.
This followed a change in the day’s agenda by the deputy speaker, Catherine Akayoraiti.
She had excluded the probe issue yet it was reportedly the major item.
The secretary for health, Badru Wasige, had proposed a change in the agenda and was seconded by the LC5 vice-chairperson, George Aboti Ouma.
The Inspector General of Government had recommended that Nyende be suspended over alleged misappropriation of government development funds.
The councillors threatened to move a vote of no confidence in Akayoraiti for failure to fulfil her roles.
