uganda telecom has commited $10m(sh19b) in a countrywide roll-out programme for the telesaverPlus, the first prepaid landline in the country.
Managing director Amiable Mpore (left) said this during the launch at Sheraton’s Lions Centre. Mpore said they were the third operators in Africa to use that technology and among the first 10 in the world.
He said they wanted to maximise benefits of the telesaver. Mpore said the firm had ordered their China- based suppliers, Huawei Technologies, to supply them with the phones.
