THEY walked out of the posh training offered by the now dissolved Ezra Boxing Board in Kabale, but not out of their dreams of getting medals at the Athens 2004 Olympics.
And today — the five members of the national boxing team — The Bombers, will enter camp at Lugogo to start training at the expense of National Council of Sports.
Joseph Lubega, Sadat Tebazalwa, Sam Rukundo, Jolly Katongole and Brian Mayanja, who have been having workouts in another gym, will be getting instructions from their coach Dick Katende and assistant Musa Kent.
UABF secretary Sande Musoke yesterday said that they sent to NCS a budget of sh12m for training, but they will get the reply of how much they are going to pay today.
