KAMPALA Amateur Volleyball Clubs (KAVC) will have to wait for their own event as they struggle to win their first title this season.

Despite pushing both the men and women teams to the finals of Old Kampala Death Cup at Old Kampala on Sunday, they lost the men’s game to Sport S and the women final to Kampala City Council (KCC).
Dorothy Nampiima and Kuluthum Nakamanya masterminded KCC’s third straight title at the two-day event.

In the men’s final, Sport S came from 0-2 in the second set to celebrate their third title this season in a stormy match that lasted over two hours.

St. Mary’s Kitende boys, who turned up for the event with titles from Lubiri and Nkumba Opens, maintained an unbeaten record in three tournaments in a row as they added the deaf title on their list.
They beat Katikamu SSS 3-0 in the final.

Club 61 took the girls title after beating Brethren College 2-1.
Next on the calendar is the KACV Memorial.
