HAVE you ever de wormed yourself? You need to know that you may be sharing your food with worms in your tummy.

It is high time you learnt to de worm yourself after every three to six months this will help you in getting rid of those unwanted visitors in your stomach.

People, especially children, can accidentally be infected with roundworms, hook worms and tape worms, parasites very common to dogs and cats.

Sometimes the way worms get into your body is through eating fruits without washing them first or poorly cooked vegetables that have not been treated with table vinegar or salty water. These fruits and vegetables may contain eggs of worms, which will hatch in your stomach.

The danger of not de worming can be:

  • Your body will not be getting the adequate nutrients from the food you eat since the worms also feed on your food.

  • There are more frequent bouts of hunger than normal. You want to eat every time and even after a heavy meal you remain hungry.

  • The worms may cause you further health complications like anaemia.

  • It is important to teach your children to wash their hands properly after toilet use and to avoid eating fruits or vegetables that are not properly washed or treated with vinegar, salty water or any other method used to kill the eggs of the worms.

Visit your personal doctor and free yourself from any worm infection, the doctor will advise you accordingly.
