KAMPALA Amateur Volleyball Club was overwhelmed with support as four more companies joined the KAVC memorial International volleyball tournament yesterday.
Tren Tyres (U) limited, Tumpeco Enterprises, Pearl Engineering and Excel Construction Company brought the number of sponsors to 10.
Each firm has offered monetary support and trophies for outstanding performers in the event.
Earlier, Dott Services, Nice & Lovely, Icemark Africa, TransSahara International and OM Sports Centre had offered their packages.
A total of eight clubs from Kenya and Rwanda arrived for the two-day tournament yesterday and will face seven local clubs at Lugogo Indoor stadium, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and Nsambya sharing grounds.
Blue Tiger, Les Colombe, A’mital and The Young volleyball teams withdrew from the event.
