WFP will feed Uganda for a century!
SIR — East Africa and Uganda in particular will have food insecurity for many more decades to come unless something urgent is done to change the way the ministry of Agriculture is running its affairs.

Uganda does not spend a coin from her budget on agriculture! of course somebody will claim that we spend 2% but remember that that percentage is spent on administration and nothing on agricultural production. the European Union spends 47% of her budget on agricultural subsidies while the entire sub-Saharan Africa spends 0% of their budget on agricultural production.
We should therefore be prepared to be fed by the World Food Programme for another century!
Uganda introduced the NAADS programme but the work of this organisation is similar to a civil engineer advising the residents of Kisenyi to build skyscrapers!
If NAADS ever achieves anything from the way they operate, I bet my degree in agriculture is useless.
