UGANDAN sides at the eighth edition of Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) Memorial International tournament
NCC 3 KAVC 2
KVC 3 NCC 1
UGANDAN sides at the eighth edition of Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) Memorial International tournament were forced back to the drawing board as Kenya and Rwanda made away with all trophies.
KAVC women were the only Ugandan side, which looked focused to retain their trophy — but persistent poor spiking and game reading cost them the throne in the final against Nairobi City Council (NCC).
KAVC lost the first two sets 19-25 15-25 before coach Hannington Nsubuga quickly brought in Florence Nakakawa swapping back court player Lillian Okiror to replace setter Harriet Tukahirwe. They eventually pulled back 2 -1.
That was as good as it got for the Ugandans.
Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) men came from a set down to beat NCC 3 -1.
