Save us from excessive disco noise

SIR— We residents of Mperwerwe appeal to the Mayor of Kampala, Mr John Ssebaana Kizito, to help stop the daily night discos in Mpererwe which go on up to the wee hours of the night!
SIR— We residents of Mperwerwe appeal to the Mayor of Kampala, Mr John Ssebaana Kizito, to help stop the daily night discos in Mpererwe which go on up to the wee hours of the night!
These have become so frequent that we fail to sleep a wink in the night. On Sunday, July 4, the music went on up to 4.00am!
There was an instruction
by the mayor about the time
to stop the discos.
I remind him that he allowed them,
but and even within that time he had said the discos should not disturb the local residents.
In the past, we have tried
to get help from our local authorities and failed.
The fact that most of them actually live here and hear the music is enough to show us that nothing will change. For either they don’t see the problem or they are simply not interested in solving it.
Please help the residents, especially those who are ill and need their rest.
