TORO kingdom has rejected the revised White Paper proposal that traditional leaders who violate the Constitution be handled by courts of law.

This was in a statement issued on Saturday after a kingdom cabinet meeting at Mucwa Council Chambers in Fort Portal.

Reacting to the revised proposal, the statement read, “We as Toro kingdom reiterate our position... that kings should have immunity from the law.”

They said the issue of removing their king was already defined in the kingdom’s constitution.
