THE chess Olympiad team will get the national flag from National Council of Sports (NCS) tomorrow.

THE chess Olympiad team will get the national flag from National Council of Sports (NCS) tomorrow.
NCS acting secretary general Jasper Aligawesa will hand over the flag to team captain Joe Kaamu.
The send-off comes ahead of departure tomorrow for the world’s greatest chess event.
Action starts in Mallorca, Spain on Thursday until October 31.
Kaamu, who doubles up as team coach, returns to the event where he competed as a player before.
“Everything is set, we are eager to get the flag and begin work,” Kaamu said.
Kaamu’s charges are captain Stephen Kawuma, Isaac Munanira, Moses Kawuma, Grace Nsubuga, Shadrack Kantinti and Fred Washaba.
Nsubuga and Kantinti are making a fourth appearance each, Stephen Kawuma is going for his third Olympiad.
Munanira gets his second chance while Moses Kawuma and Washaba are set to make a debut.
The team is taking final training sessions.
