THE Masaka resident district commissioner (RDC), Bamusedde Bwambale, has warned residents against issuing threats on federo and other issues concerning negotiations between the Government and Mengo.

He was addressing residents at the 42nd Independence celebrations at Ssenya Primary School in Kingo sub-county on Saturday.

“Stop intimidating people on federo issues. Ugandans are free to choose what they like. Whether they support federo or not, they should not be threatened,” Bamusedde said.

He called for a culture of tolerance as the political transition to multiparty politics draws near.

“Whether you belong to the Government side or not, you must listen to each other and avoid threatening your opponents,” Bamusedde said.
