Cranes snub Vilakazi’s bash

What is wrong with footballers, Uganda Cranes? First they go and lose to Bafana Bafana in a World Cup qualifier match last Sunday at Namboole stadium. As if that was not enough, they decide to go and snub South African High Commissioner Bavumile Vilakazi. After the match, Vilakazi held out a friendly arm to FUFA President Dennis Obua and invited him and The Cranes to his residence in Kololo where he was throwing a bash for the Bafana Bafana team. But did the team and Obua show up? No they did not! They could not even be bothered to call Vilakazi and let him know they wouldn’t be able to make it. The one official who did turn up, when asked if The Cranes would be coming, said: “I don’t know where they are. I think they went home.” Talk of sore losers!
