A man stunned revellers in Mutungo recently when he was found enjoying beer from a pit latrine. The incident occured last Sunday during a confirmation party. The man identified only as Andrew reportedly stole the beer and decided to drink it from the pit latrine to avoid being seen.
Andrew who had been drinking malwa the whole evening took advantage of the brief load shedding to steal the beer which had been preserved for important guests. Andrew’s joy was cut short when power was restored. He then rushed to the toilet to hide his beer. However, some curious man had been watching his movements and followed him to the latrine only to find him squatting on the pit latrine while drinking the beer. The man yelled and attracted a crowd. Andrew explained that he feared losing his beer to hungry villagers.
