THE All Saints Church in Iganga district has initiated a separate offertory basket to raise funds for modern musical instruments.

Busoga Diocese Bishop the Rt. Rev. Michael Kyomya said recently that youths had left traditional churches for new sects, because the latter offered modern music.

The Rev. Sam Egesa, the archdeacon of Iganga archdeaconry, said while preaching on Sunday that the weekly contributions would enable the church cater for the mainly youthful congregation that attends the 9:00am English service.

“Music opens up the individual’s soul to one’s God. Having modern musical instruments in Church, coupled with love for music will go a long way to boost our religious obligations as youths,” Egesa said.
