LIRA — The Lango Development Forum (LDF), a Kampala-based NGO, has given relief items worth over sh5m to displaced persons at Abongo-Tingere in Adeko-kwok sub-county. LDF chief Lucas Abong Omara on Saturday handed over the items, which included salt, soap, second-hand clothes and shoes.
New stations
ARUA — Two radio stations and a TV station have been opened in the district this month. Radio Pacis of Arua Catholic Diocese and the Nile FM, with its twin Bornfree Technology Network TV, went on air recently. Radio Pacis will be laun-ched on November 26.
Acholi urged
GULU — The northern-based army spokesman Lt Paddy Ankunda has urged the Acholi to forgive the former LRA rebels. He said this on a talk-show on 102 Mega FM on Sunday. He told the Acholi not to blame the former rebels for the death of their relatives.
