OVER 100 coffee nursery operators in Masindi, who were mobilised by the Government to supply seedlings under the Uganda Coffee Development Authority for five years, have petitioned the President over non-payment since 2002.

In an October 26 letter to President Yoweri Museveni, which they handed over to resident district commissioner Hassan Wasswa Galiwango on Friday, the coffee nursery operators were demanding over sh50m UCDA.

The money was for seedlings they distributed to sub-counties from 2002 todate.

“Sir, we request you to help us get paid for the seedlings we have been distributing in the district since 2002,” the letter reads in part.
