THE First Deputy Prime Minister, Lt. Gen. Moses Ali, has asked Muslims to pray for the quick recovery of Palestinian president Yasser Arafat, who is hospitalised.

“We should pray that Allah helps Arafat to recover so that he continues with the struggle to end the Palestine-Israel crisis,” Ali said.

He was addressing religious leaders and dignitaries at futru (breaking fast) organised by the International Islamic Relief Organisation in Kampala on Saturday.

Arafat was yesterday reported clinically dead in a Paris hospital, where he was on treatment for a serious blood disorder.

Energy minister Syda Bumba, deputy Mufti Twaib Mukuye, Tabliq leader Sulaiman Kakeeto and Jeema chief Kibirige Mayanja, attended.
