LOCAL Movement mobilisers all over the country are to be facilitated to strengthen Movement governance through service delivery to the people, Movement Vice-Chairman Al-Hajji Moses Kigongo has said.

LOCAL Movement mobilisers all over the country are to be facilitated to strengthen Movement governance through service delivery to the people, Movement Vice-Chairman Al-Hajji Moses Kigongo has said.
Moses Nsubuga reports that Kigongo said the disbursement of sh5m to Movement MPs was following a hierarchy but even those on the ground level will share the Movement cake equally.
“Village mobilisers, don’t get worried with sh5m given to Movement MPs. Very soon the government will facilitate you to mobilise peasants to support government programmes,” he said.
Kigongo was addressing a consultative meeting on the white paper on Saturday at Kiboga district council hall, where hundreds of Movement supporters wanted to know why they were not being facilitated.
Defence state minister Ruth Nankabirwa, state minister for Luweero Triangle Prof. Semakula Kiwanuka, National Political Commissar in charge of mobilisation Cranimar Kalinda, presidential assistant Aisha Kabanda, LC5 chairman Siraje Nkugwa, RDC Margaret Kasaija and local leaders attended the meeting.
Kigongo said the Government would soon disclose secrets to the public if Mengo fails to tell the truth about the federo talks with it.
“We are tired of Baganda who go on inciting the public that Mengo did not agree on anything with the Cabinet led by President Museveni. We have evidence on tape records, which we can use to tell the facts,” he said.
He blasted the Baganda who allege that he rebuked the Kabaka, adding that anybody with evidence would get sh5m.
Kigongo also rapped the bimeeza (public talk-shows) on CBS, Simba and Radio One radio stations, saying they incited the public and disorganised the political roadmap.
Semakula Kiwanuka said “The so-called Buganda supporters have maligned the Government to try and incense the public against it.”
