London thriller to launch ‘bye-bye Kampala’ album

A Ugandan multi-stage musician now back from London, is due to launch his album in Kampala this month.

A Ugandan multi-stage musician now back from London, is due to launch his album in Kampala this month.
Artiste DJ Langona Komakech, will be launching his album titled Bye-Bye Kampala. Komakech says the album has hits sang in Luo, Kiswahili, English and Luganda. Komakech, who is a vocalist, dancer, guitarist, kadongo player and a dramist, is currently leading his band called the Gang-Gang stars. The band has both queen and king dancers. Vocalist Hannington Balongo, better known as Honey bee, is among the group.
The Bye-Bye Kampala album has already fetched 5,000 pounds in London, where it was launched. It has songs like Ngeno Kit Dano tek (knowing someone’s behaviour and motive is hard. The person you stay with can kill you).
Bye bye Kampala urges people to go back to their villages and dig instead of idling in Kampala. Other songs are Cam Boo, Ajulina and Omera yub’ nyingi (my brother, clear your name.
Komakech will be launching it together with artiste Jose Chameleone of the Mambo Bado fame.
While in London, the Luo community, better known as Kachoke Madit, requested Komakech to perform for them. He then started staging shows in various parts of London.
The sensational young star (Komakech) has new London-based promoters, called Matooke House Investment Promoters. The promoters have already bought the right to sell and market the album
Bye bye Kampala from London. Komakech, who has been with Wakawaka band and who at times performs with afrigo band, is to tour Gulu, Mbale, Jinja and other Ugandan towns.
