Shoppers in Uchumi Supermarket, Garden city were stunned when a four-year old boy asked his mother to buy for him a packet of Always, writes Jonathan Osamuki.
The boy told his mother that he was hungry and wanted her to buy for him Always to eat. When his mother ignored him, he started crying saying he often saw her buy for his elder sisters Always pads.
The visibly embarrassed mother had to sweet-talk the boy as other customers laughed. She gave him some biscuits.
who lighted up after she bought for him an assortment of sweets and biscuits.


Man’s necktie ‘drinks’ soup
Drama recently unfolded in a Kawempe restaurant when a man, whose necktie got soaked in soup abandoned it on the table, writes Bernard Opwonya. The unidentified man had ordered for fish and matooke. As soon as he began to enjoy his meal, his loose necktie got soaked in the soup draining a sizeable quantity of it. He then pulled the tie off his neck and placed it on the table. Upon finishing his meal, the man left his soaked necktie on the table and walked away.

Visitor takes it all in tummy
A visitor, identified as Tabisa, recently left a family shocked in Bugoloobi flats when she served herself more than half the food they had prepared for lunch, writes Robert Wabomba. Tabisa was visiting her son for the first time and arrived at lunch hour. Her daughter-in-law however, did not care to serve her. After waiting for three hours in vain, Tabisa entered the kitchen and heaped her plate with rice and chicken. The rest of the family shared the little remaining food.

‘Askari’ carries mosquito net
A security guard, identified as Muwanga, recently amused residents at Muyenga when he turned up for night duty with a mosquito net. The guard installed the net in his small guardroom near the gate. Asked why he came up with the idea of turning his workplace into a comfortable bedroom, his response was straight. “Even night watchmen are human beings and can contract malaria. This place has very many mosquitoes,” he said.
