HOSTS Police and Prisons set the early pace as the fourth edition of the Inter-Forces Games championship started at Kibuli yesterday.

Police sealed victory in volleyball after walloping army-side UPDF and Prisons.

But Prisons’ trio of Richard Osege, Richard Aisu, Paul Owor were the stars as they engineered the defeat of Police in handball at Police College, Kibuli yesterday.
Prisons women, also maintained their domain in netball by thumping Police 51-16.

Defending champions UPDF, are expected to bounce back on the table standings when they launch their bid to retain the athletics and football titles at Kyambogo and Naguru respectively today.

UPDF is expected to unleash national athletics stars, sprinter Francis Kasangule and long distance ace Francis Yiga.
The pair were in action at the Nkumba Inter-hall Games at the weekend in a build-up to the Inter Forces Games.

The championship that ends on Sunday, has the forces sports clubs competing in football, netball, volleyball, handball, athletics, shooting and darts.
