INVESTORS from India and the UK have plans to build a modern instant coffee processing plant, in Uganda
Challa Rajendra Prasad, the chairman and managing director of CCL Products India Limited and Ian Breminer, the managing director, Complete Coffee Limited, United Kingdom, the plant would be the biggest in Africa.
They said this while meeting President Yoweri Museveni at State House, Nakasero, on Wednesday.
They said they were motivated to invest in Uganda because of the conducive environment and government policies that favoured investment.
Museveni, who described his guests as liberators from economic bondage to Africa in general and Uganda in particular, welcomed them to Uganda.
He also assured them of the Government’s support.
The Minister for the Presidency, Kirunda Kivejinja and finance state minister Mwesigwa Rukutana attended.
