IT was excitement at the Kampala Kindergarten (KK) graduation ceremony for out-going pupils.

The function at the school campus in Nakasero was part of the school’s end of year festivities.

A few days before the graduation, KK pupils treated parents to a music, dance and drama (MDD) concert under the theme ‘Ángazi in Wonderland’.

The children performed cultural dances to a big audience at the National Theatre.

The acting headmistress, Lucy Nanyanzi, said MDD unveils children’s talents at an early age.

Through the subject, she said, children developed the basic language skills like listening, speech and reading.

“We believe that equipping children with these skills will help them in career development,” Nanyanzi said.

Presiding over the graduation, Nanyanzi commended the 56 graduands for working hard and urged them to do so in primary school.

She commended the former headmistress, Mary Mulumba, for the good work done among the outgoing pupils and the entire school.

The graduands who excelled in various disciplines such as morals, academics, games, MDD and cleanliness received certificates of merit.
